What is a Limited Edition Print?

A Limited Edition Print is a high-quality reproduction of an original piece of art.  The most popular way to produce a Limited Edition Print is the Giclee reproduction process.  All reproductions sold are of the highest quality giclees numbered in succession and signed by the artist.  The artist supervises the printing of each series, and has choses how many to create per series.  When the series finishes the last print, all prints and files involved in its creation are destroyed.

 

What is a Giclee reproduction?

Giclee (jhee-clay) -  A computerized reproduction technique in which the image and topography are generated from a digital file and printed by a special large format ink jet printer, using archival pigmented inks.  Giclee printing offers one of the highest degrees of accuracy and richness of color available beyond any other reproduction techniques today.
